Mope Mansions
Mope was a quiet talker, mostly the testing area for features destined for Atlantis.
Mope ran on an IBM Thinkpad via a Bulldog ADSL connection in London. This was fast for consumer broadband at the time (the first to offer 2MB/512KB) but latency was an issue for users compared to more professionally-hosted talkers.
The name was a parody of "Meep Towers".
This short-lived talker opened and closed in 2003.
The talker is (was?) based on the codebase, "Sensi-Summink", a EW-Too derivative.
Information presented here was - at least in part - sourced from the talker listing on spodlist.org, and my own fallible recollection.
Related talkers
This could be because they're the same talker re-written or renamed, because they're run by the same staff, or for literally any other reason.
